As a busy mother, you have so many things to do and so many people to take care of. It can be easy to put yourself last, but your mental and emotional well-being is important! Stress feels awful, but did you know it's actually physically bad for you? In fact, the American Psychological Association states that chronic stress can increase your risk of heart problems and depression. Taking care of yourself truly is an investment in your health and your family's future.  Here are three tips to help you relax and pamper yourself as a busy woman:

1. Take a bubble bath.

A bubble bath is a simple way to pamper yourself that costs almost nothing and takes no time at all. You can do it from the comfort of your own home. Ask your partner and kids (if they're old enough to understand) to please not disturb you; then luxuriate in a deliciously hot bubble bath. For a little extra "adult" fun, pour yourself a glass of your favorite wine and grab some easy reading. Essential oils can make a lovely addition to your bathwater. Lavender, in particular, is a soothing choice that can quiet even the most restless mind.

2. Buy yourself a present.

Do you remember how exciting it was to get a present as a kid? Recapture that feeling of joy and spoil yourself just a little! Your present doesn't have to break the bank. Indulge yourself with a simple, sensual gift. If you're a chocolate lover, buy yourself a box of high-quality truffles. A good bottle of wine is an excellent choice if you are a wine aficionado, and if you're an avid reader, why not get yourself a hardcover novel that catches your eye?

3. Plan a "staycation" day.

Taking a vacation doesn't have to mean leaving town. Give yourself a break by taking the day off and having some local fun. First, ask your partner to watch the kids for the day or if that isn't an option, hire a babysitter. Then pay a visit to a local spa where you can get pampered like a princess. Many spas have package deals that offer discounts when you purchase multiple services. Try getting a package that includes a sauna, massage, and facial. You'll leave feeling relaxed and beautiful: like a whole new woman!

Being a mother is a full-time job. You're the home teacher, chef, and designated snuggle-giver. On top of that, you've got a household to run and perhaps a job outside of the home. You're up for the job, but sometimes you need a little time to recharge. These three tips will help you pamper yourself in an affordable and accessible way. Go to website.
